Admission Process
All the qualifications offered by University College Alberta Giménez (CESAG) are governed by certain entry requirements and admission criteria, the details of which depend on each qualification. Beforehand, we hold open days to enable potential applicants to learn about our institution. Our Bachelor’s degree admission process can be summarised in five chronological steps:
1. Pre-registration
Pre-registration is completed via the website. To provide the required documentation, use the online option (the section “Send all the documentation”). You also have the option of filing the application and the documentation by postal recorded delivery to the Student Admissions Department (SEE ATTACHED INFORMATION SHEET). In the event that any places remain available, a new application period will be opened and there will be additional entrance exams. This information will be given on the web page.
Priority for admission is given to candidates who are taking the admission process for the first time or who have not passed it in a maximum of two consecutive years.
Next admission period
Starts May 5, 2026
Ends: July 23 (Education) / September 3, 2026 (Communication)
Degree in Nursing and Sports Science: admission closed
2. Personal interview
The personal interview makes it possible to get to know you better and evaluate your qualities, as well as being an opportunity to discuss the degree course you wish to embark on in more detail and why you would like to study it.
3. Language proficiency exam
Once applicants have completed pre-registration, they will have to do an online exam for University College Alberta Giménez to demonstrate their proficiency in English, Spanish and Catalan. There will be no language proficiency exam for entry to the Nursing, Journalism, Media Studies and Advertising and PR degrees. The exams consist of grammar tests. Applicants will have to bring a mobile telephone, tablet or computer with them for these exams.
Next exam: Monday, 22 June 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
4. Communication and Entry Requirements
Once pre-registration, the language proficiency exam and the interview have been completed, applicants will be informed whether they have been admitted to the degree course they applied for. Being admitted does not exempt the applicants from completing the University Access Exam (Prueba de Acceso a la Universidad, or PAU) or from fulfilling the requirements entailed in other access routes.
5. Enrolment
Once all the previous steps have been taken, students must complete their enrolment. he process is carried out via the website. There are two enrolment periods, in June and September. You will not be able to do this process if you have not completed before the pre-registration (and been admitted to the university college). If you still have any questions, do not hesitate to ask us for more information by phone or email or by requesting a personal interview through our contact forms.
6. Start date for the academic year and welcome day for new students
Tuesday 16 September 16, 2025, was the first day of classes for the 2025-2026 academic year (except for the Nursing degree program). An orientation day for first-year students was held on Monday, September 15. Dates for the 2026-2027 academic year will be announced.
