Learning outcomes

CPT01. Identify people’s psychosocial responses to different health situations (in particular, illness and suffering), selecting appropriate actions to provide assistance in them.
CPT02. Establish an empathetic and respectful relationship with the patient and family, in accordance with the person’s situation, health problem, and stage of development.
CPT03. Use strategies and skills that enable effective communication with patients, families, and social groups, as well as the expression of their concerns and interests.
CPT04. Identify, integrate, and relate the concept of health and care from a historical perspective, to understand the evolution of nursing care.
CPT05. Promote the participation of individuals, families, and groups in their health-illness process. Identify the factors related to health and environmental problems, in order to care for people in health and illness situations as members of a community.
CPT06. Identify and analyze the influence of internal and external factors on the health level of individuals and groups.
CPT07. Analyze statistical data related to population studies, identifying the possible causes of health problems.
CPT08. Educate, facilitate, and support the health and well-being of community members whose lives are affected by health problems, risk, suffering, illness, disability, or death.
CPT09. Pre-professional practices, in the form of an independent clinical rotation and with a final competency assessment, in Health Centers, Hospitals, and other care centers that allow the incorporation of professional values, healthcare communication competencies, clinical reasoning, clinical management, and critical judgment, integrating in professional practice the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of Nursing, based on principles and values, associated with the competencies described in the general objectives and the subjects comprising the Degree.
CPT10. Final degree project: A cross-disciplinary subject whose work will be carried out in connection with different subjects.

CON08. Know and identify the psychological and physical problems resulting from gender-based violence to enable the student in prevention, early detection, assistance, and rehabilitation of victims of this form of violence.
CON09. Understand, from an ontological and epistemological perspective, the evolution of the central concepts that shape the nursing discipline, as well as the most relevant theoretical models, applying the scientific methodology in the care process and developing the corresponding care plans.

CON27. Know the most relevant mental health problems in the different stages of the life cycle, providing comprehensive and effective care in the nursing field.
CON28. Know palliative care and pain management to provide care that alleviates the condition of advanced and terminally ill patients.
